Haida Art Revived

The Bill Reid Gallery is a public gallery located in downtown Vancouver that was named in honor of the acclaimed Haida artist. Bill Reid was a sculptor, carver, master goldsmith and spokesman who revived Haida arts by infusing the old art traditions of Haida with modern forms of expression..

The gallery is the only public gallery anywhere in Canada devoted to displaying contemporary Aboriginal and First Nations' Art. There are plenty of permanent exhibitions on display, although the gallery often presents exhibits of local art and sculptures, along with other displays of Native American Art from time to time.
