One of the largest art galleries in North America can be found right in the heart of Ontario. The Art Gallery of Ontario, or Musée des beaux-arts de l'Ontario, was founded in the year 1900 by original members of the Ontario Society of Artists who later incorporated the art museum.
Approximately 450,000 square feet of space currently house over 80,000 pieces of artwork aging back to the first century. Permanent and evolving collections include the world's largest collection of Canadian art.
