The Fountaine de Tourny has a storied past. It started its life in France at the World's Fair. For the next 100 years, it adorned a popular street in Bordeaux before being removed due to "maintenance costs". Simons then gifted it to the city of Quebec, covering the cost of shipping and restoring the majestic masterpiece. The city prepared the site and it has been a happy addition to Parliament Hill since 2007.
