Fort George has been guarding St. George's--Bermuda's first English settlement and one of the oldest in the Americas--since the early 1600s. The hilltop location affords awesome views over the city's harbor and out to St. David's Island. The fort itself, modified and rebuilt a few times over its long career, is an impressive monument. It still sports a 25-ton cannon aimed square at St. George's.
