Historic Ship Wreck

The wreck of the Caraquet is a popular tourist destination in Bermuda. The Caraquet was a British iron steamship that delivered mail for London's Royal Steam Packet Company. The 200-ft long ship sank in 1923 after wrecking on the Northern Barrier Reef during especially rough seas.

The wreckage covers about two acres and is a popular dive site. Because the wreck is situated in clear shallow water, the visibility is quite exceptional and divers will experience spectacular underwater views of this once colossal ship and can explore its various exposed parts.
