Cinema Overload

Established in 1997, the Bermuda International Film Festival (BIFF) has grown into quite the cinematic celebration in Hamilton, screening the better part of 100 films across four of the capital's theaters. The showcase includes full-length features as well as shorts and documentaries from the world over: the creations of internationally renowned filmmakers and groundbreaking up-and-comers alike.

One of numerous awards granted during the proceedings, the Grand Jury Prize for the Best Narrative Short Film means the winner can be considered for the Short Film - Live Action Oscar, as BIFF is one of only a few dozen qualifying festivals worldwide for that Academy Award category.
