Rustic French-Belgian cuisine combined with a cozy art nouveau atmosphere makes Les Brigittines an excellent restaurant for travelers willing to spend some money. The cuisine is a great representation of traditional Belgian food, the service is welcoming, and the atmosphere is warm. The head chef and owner Dirk Myny often walks around the restaurant and welcomes his patrons making them feel extra like honored guests. While the menu offers some interesting and unique dishes, visitors recommend the set three-course menu with wine pairing as a more economical option for a gourmet meal. The classics are all done well here: try the veal cheek braised in Cantillon's kriek beer or stick with the outstanding Angus steak-frites. More adventurous eaters might go for the cow's udder soup appetizer or the sweetbread vol-au-vent.
