Established in 1964 and renamed in 1999, Pelican Craft Centre is a modern outdoor mall devoted to local art, master craftmen, and their wares. Located near the Bridgetown Cruise Terminal, it's often one of the first stops of local cruise ships.
The center is broken down into two sections with 25 retail shops and 14 workshops in total. An art gallery, annex, and artist wall are popular attractions. Vivid and fun, the buildings sport different colors and visitors can interact with the artists in their workshop or get their fill of local history from the friendly boutique and souvenir shop owners. It can seem like a ghost town at times due to fluctuating operating hours. Be sure to check the shop schedules before heading out to ensure the best experience possible.
