Even in low season there's a lot of beach life going on at Dover Beach. Locals get absorbed in noisy games of dominoes by the parking lot, while beach volley ball and cricket on the playing field near the beach attract other followers. This is the southern stretch of Dover beach, more residential and a bit quieter than the northern section where there's some booming nightlife.
St Lawrence Gap is a magnet for tourists and locals, and Dover Beach is one of the best and probably the most popular beaches in Barbados for good reason.
