You can take a walk through history when you visit this Historic Bridgetown location, an old screw dock (a.k.a. dry dock) which plays host to the Historical Maritime Center, containing a range of related artifacts from the 19th and 20th centuries.
Also on site you will find the Blackwoods Tavern, with its delicious, local cuisine and grilled food menu. There is covered seating along the waterfront and with view to where boats and ships were lifted out of the water and repaired in years past. The screw lifting dock was built in 1889, two years after the first dry dock was completed.
