This 1,441-room palace near the outskirts of Vienna was the summer residence for the Habsburgs for hundreds of years. With its gorgeous baroque and rococo décor, some argue that it is much more inviting than the Hofburg Palace, but the two are certainly comparable in their grandeur and importance to the Habsburgs and to Austrian culture. As you can imagine, there is no shortage of things to tour at this site, including the Grand Apartments and the elaborate gardens surrounding the estate.
