Formerly a private royal garden serving the Habsburgs, this elegant city park is like a well-groomed outdoor living room. It has beautiful and intricate garden arrangements, significant statues such as the one of Mozart in the center of the park, and an elegant palm house which holds an upscale café and a tropical butterfly house, all while managing to feel cozy and intimate. The Burggarten is a great attraction in the winter with the peace of falling snow, as well as in the spring with its blooming flowers and fresh colors. Bring a picnic and lay out in the sun during summer, and watch the leaves change color as you stroll through in autumn. There’s truly no bad time to experience this park.
