A Beach with a Story

Past notable landmarks like the Big Red Anchor and Baby Beach, you can find the secluded Rodger's Beach. This little stretch of white sand has a history, which you notice as you're enjoying the shallow, warm waters that are ideal for swimming.

At the south end of the beach are the ruins of a resort that stood here more than 60 years ago. In the 1950s, this was the site of the Aruba Esso Club, an elaborate resort that included a restaurant, dance floor, several docks, even a baseball stadium. All that remains now is a large abandoned building which houses a single business, a lonely little dive shop.
