Surf's Up

Hadicurari Beach--also known as the Fisherman's Huts for its heritage as an erstwhile fishing outpost--is among Aruba's better-known seashores on account of its top-of-the-line wind- and kitesurfing conditions. So tried-and-true are the trades and the waters here, in fact, that every summer Hadicurari hosts the biggest windsurfing competition in the Caribbean: the famous Aruba Hi-Winds.

Even outside the packed days of that huge racing and freestyle event, you've got a good chance of seeing some adept surfers of multiple stripes offshore when you're kicking back on Hadicurari Beach.
