The beautiful, classic, late-19th century Buenos Aires Post Office has been transformed into one of the greatest cultural centers in Latin America. Music, dance, theater, paintings, poetry, literature, film and historical exhibitions attract more than five million visitors a year. Not only is the center the permanent home to the Argentinian National Symphony Orchestra, but it hosts orchestras - and dance troupes and plays and traveling exhibitions - from around the world. The nine floors include a concert hall, five auditoriums, 18 halls for other performances and 40 galleries of art and history. Any visit to Buenos Aires should include at least one visit to the center; there is always something of interest going on.
