Celebrating the Ancient People of Argentina

From the rivers of the north to Tierra de Fuego in the south, Argentina has been the home of a wide variety of native cultures. This museum preserves the collections of ethnographers, archaeologists and collectors, with tens and thousands of artifacts from a wide range of peoples indigenous to the nation, providing exhibitions that show their material culture and explaining their social history and special place in the story of Argentina. Guided tours are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:00pm, lasting one hour. For an additional fee, visitors can also take a "Visit the Ethnographic Collections' Storage Area" for a special peek behind the scenes. The museum store offers crafts and publications.
